For this tutorial you will need
PAINT SHOP PRO (Trial Version)
FUN HOUSE (Turbine Mirror)
GRAPHICS PLUS
SIMPLE FILTERS
You will be able to download all three filters that you use in this tutorial here. You should find Turbine Mirror in Fun House 2.
You will also need an image to work with. If you wish to use the same image that I am using, just right click on the image below and "save as" to your own server. If anyone happens to know the artist of this lovely graphic, I would appreciate it if you would email me and let me know so I can give proper credit to the artist.
Let's get started!!
1. Open up your image in PSP. Shift+D to make a copy of it . Close your original as we will be working with the copy of your graphic. Image/Resize 300w x 300h. Effects/Sharpen/Sharpen.
2. Effects/PluginFilters/FunHouse/TurbineMirror with the setting of 228 for Blades.
3. Effects/PluginFilters/GraphicsPlus/Vertical Blinds using these settings: Divisions=6; Red=255; Green=255; Blue=255.
4. Effects/PluginFilters/GraphicsPlus/Kaleidoscope using these settings: Divisions=224; Rotations=64.
5. Effects/PluginFilters/Simple Filters/Quick Tile. And below is the results you will have for your bkg. Resize by 75% and go to Effects/Sharpen/Sharpen. Save as .jpg and you are finished.
The background for this webpage was made using this tutorial. Below are the results. I just used different settings for the Kaleidoscope filter.
